Blind grates have several applications:
Lying surfaces for piglets in farrowing, transition, and wean-to-finish (all models), isolating them from gases coming from pits and the drafts that affect them so much. They also provide thermal insulation and are the ideal surface for projecting radiant heat sources.
Lying surface for sows in farrowing. Installed under the front of the farrowing cage, it provides an ideal resting surface, soft and with good grip, minimizing shoulder ulcers and teat damage.
Under hoppers and feeders to collect waste in the event of poor regulation.
To cover aisles used to channel air as part of the climate control system.
